The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations of 1986 establish the regulations for window tinting in Wigan, England.   Had ppf and ceramic done over 12 months ago on a brand new car and really disappointed with the results. After numerous visits to have bits corrected and having had a 2nd opinion there are paint in perfections under the wrap that should have been corrected priortothe ppf being fitted. As for invisible patterns more pimples than a teenager. The ceramic coating has no hydrophobic quality's what so ever despite caring for it as instructed, a case of emperors new clothes. Can I wash my car after installing window tint?

Yes, there will not be any issues caused by the vehicle’s exterior being washed or, for that matter, rained on because all of the window films are installed on the windows’ interior. Ensure that the inside of the windows is not cleaned for 48hrs and or rolled down.

How long should you wait before rolling down the windows after having them tinted?

Following the installation of window film, it is strongly suggested that you keep the windows of your car rolled up for at least one full day. Before rolling the window, the film needs sufficient time to harden and attach to the surface of the glass.
